Hi Group, An Edison Talking Doll just came and went on ebay without any bids. ?I was interested, but not enough to spring for a bid. ?The opening bid was $12,000 and no bids were received. ?I would have thought someone, somewhere would have wanted that doll. ?But the motor was pictured and looked almost too shiny and too good to be true. ?The body was about perfect, but for that price I would have expected many more pictures. Did anyone else see the doll? ?It was listed as ebay #2204908067 and you can still pull the auction up before they take the pictures down. Was there something "too good to be true" about this item or did I lose the chance of a lifetime???? I asked a friend who is knowledgeable with these dolls and he said the motor was a repro. The dress also was not original. ----- Original Message ----- From: <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Wednesday, November 26, 2003 9:37 PM Subject: [Phono-L] Edison Talking Doll Hi Group, An Edison Talking Doll just came and went on ebay without any bids.
