I just rebuilt a floating style reproducer for a Phenix machine. My first attempt at a floating rebuild. i used all new parts except the body and affixed the diaphragm with wax. It makes high pitched screeching noises when playing ( record plays but high notes just screech ) - what did I do wrong?
Greg Acker Greg, I am unfamiliar with that type of reproducer. What do you mean by "floating"? Isn't it connected by a block in the back like an Edison reproducer? Tom This is very similar to the early Columbia style like used on the Q. Greg
