I just wanted to pass on a note about the CAPS (California Antique
Phonograph Society) show last weekend. It was really a nice show. I found
the people very accomodating and we had the opportunity to see a couple of
nice private collections that were outstanding. Hospitality abounded. I
believe all the out of towners were made to feel very welcome. I was there
with several folks from Oregon.

The banquet was also really great. There was a slient auction, a great
dinner and then a talk by Renee Rondeau about Tinfoil machines with a really
outstanding demo of a real edison tinfoil machine! What a rare thing to
experience.

The show was not huge, but there were a lot of machines and related things
available. I got a late Vic 1 and a late Vic 2 both for what I thought were
very reasonable prices. Another in our party bought a really nice Columbia
BJ with a matching wood horn. Another bought a really nice Trademark
Berliner. Really nice machines.

Just thought I would pass my thoughts of the show along.

Dan
