I have seen some very decent looking Victor Vs on ebay over the past couple
of years (without oak horns) in the $2000 range...the one last night didn't
look so hot to me either.  Fortunately, nice original Vs turn up locally
here at auctions a few times a year.

Funny, the Victor V is my holy grail machine as well.  One just sold at a
local auction here with speartip horn in super original condition for $4500
and I thought that was a bit high.
