Hi Rob, The tops are all nickel plated brass until around 3500, from there to around 13000 they are iron and brass. On the iron and brass ones the name plate is nickel plated brass, the rest, including the ferrule, is iron. Some of the tops have iron which has a very thin nickel coating.
