Ron, I am running MS windows XP home. Here's what I did: I went to control panel/Internet options/Security and then clicked on custom. Scroll down until you see the two sections pertaining to Java settings. It's up to you what level of security for Java that you want to select (I.E. High, medium or low).
Loran, I am obviously a bit paranoid about spyware. I am running Ad-aware, Microsoft AntiSpyware, Spyware Blaster, and Spyware doctor. Along with that I am running Norton Anti-virus corporate edition. Could any of these apps be working against me for successful chat??
