Sorry to pile on this ARS topic but an antique dealer I know had a scout for the show check out items in his shop. They asked if he wanted to bring a dresser to the show when they were going to be coming around. He was gauranteed to be on the air with his dresser but had to make it sound like he just found it at a garage sale. and that he should look shocked at its appraisal. The dealer was appaled and showed them the door. It is just another example that all these "Reality" shows aren't all that real but just entertainment.
