>From the emails, I get the feeling that many of us attended different shows.
I found the help friendly and courtious. I arrived Friday morning around 9 am,
bought my ticket from a friendly ticket seller, who said "Enjoy the show" No
hassle there. There were lots of goods available. The Books at Bob Baumbachs
table were certainly worth the price of addmission (maybe not the early fee).
Wonderful parts, gaskets, screws, cranks etc at Ron Sitkos, all reasonably
priced. The selection of machines. was as good as i've seen in many years. Two
excellent polyphone homes, 1 class M , 2 North Americans. Hexaphone, several
Operas, a few Berliners. a U.S. Opera. I think there are only 3 worldwide. Many
small but interesting items in the Rolf's booth, something for everyones
budget. I was able to take home the only Bell Tainter I have seen for sale in
many
years. I would hope all the early buyer & seller problems would be resolved by
next year. I have always found Randy to be a reasonable person. and I'm sure
he will take steps to deal with any complaints.
The Friday night auction had lots of variety, and I was able to get a
nice leather cased Mikyphone. Although the auction had some good things, it
was too hot in the hall, & the first hour of selling the small items wiped me
out. I had to leave early, and missed some of the bidding.
