Hi I have no idea about the crank as the machine has not arrived yet. I am planning to take it to the CAPS show on August 13/14, so of course it is a rush, more or less. George Vollema responded, but he is on a buying triop and will not be back til next week, which is cutting it close for me. The model is the early one with the square doors and regular hinges, not the mitred doors with the top and bottom hinge. The crank escutcheon is located toward the front of the cabinet, so I am thinking it could be the a male crank with flat bar winding arm. Not positive, will check some catalogues. This model is actually a Berliner Canada model, and is called the Victrola III. There is a canadian Berliner tag under the Victrola tag. It is otherwise a carbon copy of the Victrola IV. It has the small nickeled door knobs, and all the rest. Since most of their early stuff was made by Victor, I am confident that the correct Victrola IV crank will work. THanks John THanks John

The machine is early, square doors, not the ones with the mitred ends and special hinges on top and bottom. These have regular square hinges. I don't have the machine here yet, but need the crank as soon as possible. Secondly, I need to move a folk harp from Houston TX to Ventura, CA. The harp needs packing, as the seller will not do this. Anybody have any Victrola moving experience from TX to CA with a small cargo shipper?? Thanks for any help.
