Just curious, Have any of you considered using electrolysis to remove rust
vs. sanding on your restorations? I use it frequently when working on my
old MG, and find that I don't lose as much metal as I would by sanding or
grinding. The electrolysis process turns iron oxide back to plain old iron
by releasing the oxygen (visible as bubbles in the water). Works on other
metals as well and is very easy to do.

Subject: [Phono-L] question about touching up surface rust on a gem

Hello list I was wondering after i sand the surface rust on a gem how do I
blend in the new paint to match the paint on the gem? Some one suggested I
should use rustolium and brush it on? thank you.
