I think you mean the Chippendale C19, which had two rows of slots for  
records, one over the other. The C250 had two drawers, with about four slats  
dividing each of them.
 
I believe Ron Dethlefson said that Edison sold cabinets which were  similar 
to Globe Werniche barrister bookcases. That is why I thought these might  be 
the real thing.
 
I've owned one of the DD record cabinets you describe, and yes, it was very  
similar to the cabinet of a C19, right down to the knobs on the doors, and  
interior hardware.
