this cracked me up! ...now we know where the "membership rules" for phonolist (the "other" phono-related email group) came from! the guy who runs it likes to have complete control, so you have to send him a bunch of this sort of stuff before you can join (not hard to circumvent as i and a few others have done, but still...). a lot less mellow than here, and one of the major reasons phono-l was created.
