Cory,
I did a Google search and found a lot of hits that you might want to look at.
You could contact Tim Gracyk for a start. Tim seems to have published a lot of
material on this topic and early recordings of African American and early
ragtime music.

Good luck with your research.
Tom

Subject: [Phono-L] Looking for information on the Louisiana PhonogrpahCompany

For a project, I am researching the history of the Louisiana Phonograph
Company, in existance from the late 1890's. Does anyone have any information
on
  this company?

  Thank you in advance!
