I am offering to the list a chance to buy a very rare phonograph, in fact the
only one that I am aware exisits. It obviously must have been a special order.
It is an early Columbia Regent with the phonograph lid hid in the top as oposed
to the drawer style. While it is not marked columbia it obviously is.
Yes i know these things are big and not normally real pretty nor really
desireable, but this one is different unique, rare and quit beautiful. What
make this one so rare is that it is heavely carved in gothic style with carved
figures on the corners. To top it off it is made of walnut which I believe to
be circasian.
Condition is overall very good with a few small dings and scrathes, and the
only real issue is that the veneer on top back has lifted a little and a samll
piece is missing.
I have a substanial investment into this machine and love it but as often
happens in our collecting world, I want to buy something else so will probably
have to take a loss but can't give it away.
I can deliver on the west coast within a month or so or bring it to union next
june.
