I don't think anyone would pay 4k for a repro when one can get repro's for a
few hundred dollars. I read the description again, and it does kind of
guarantee that most of the machine is original.

A general question: should one point out things like this to the auction
house, and save them from problems? I read last month that someone who
bought an item described as a 15th century urn that turned out to be a late
19th century copy sued the auction house and was awarded both restitution
and damages? And of course a black mark on reputation the auction house?

Does anyone have any thoughts on this

Thanks

Rob
