The "O" soundbox is correct for the early Victrola "IV" (as is the "Exhibition"). She show an early "IV" with the "O" soundbox in our first book, as well as the soon-to-be-published "Talking Machine Compendium, Second, Revised Edition." Personally, I think the "O" soundbox is cooler!
