Subject: [Phono-L] Victor 6 & other scams

Hello

A clear scam formula is zero feedback & payment by Western Union. However
there are some really crafty people: an example on ebay a year or 2 back was
a person who was selling porcelain figures. For about 6 months everything
was above board. He sold, shipped and was really exemplary. Then over a few
days he dumped a few thousand new objects with lots of stolen / scanned from
catalog pictures onto ebay. He collected the money - around $ 200'000 and
disappeared.

I've had a few close encounters on the phono front. But as Steve says, some
specific questions, caution and a phone number to call the seller on pricey
items can help save one from these scammers
Have a good week
