What is needed now is to get these scientists an original tin foil
recording.  Their method should be able to recover the sound recorded on the
sheet which was once wrapped around a mandrel.

Wow, this is amazing. To hear the samples on the scientists' website is
probably best done with a high speed internet connection, but the blue
amberol optical recording is beyond belief!
