I would agree. I had a victor VI that Steve redid, and it was outstanding.

Based on the recommendation of this list & others, I sent my Victor R to
Steve Farmer (Vintage Talking Machines) in Oceanside, California, for
cleaning and replating of the oxidized copper surfaces. Steve performed
a miracle by removing the severely oxidized and rusted metal surfaces.
He then nickle plated, copper plated, oxidized and recreated the
original artistic effect of an original Victor R. I think he did an
excellent job. I just wanted folks to know what an exceptional
craftsperson Steve is and what a valuable resource he provides to those
of us who enjoy this hobby. Steve can be reached at:

Subject: [Phono-L] Vic IV horn
Message-ID: <[email protected]>

Hi All
A friend of mine recently purchased a Victor IV without a horn. Anyone have a
decent original? I believe he is looking for the black morning glory type. Any
leads are appreciated.
Thanks
John

I'm going to be spending a couple of days with friends at the end of this week
up near Burlington, VT. Are there are interesting phono
shops/museums/list-folks up in that neck of the woods to visit?

Thanks.
