My 2 12" Stoky & the Phillies records did exactly the same thing, developed
a haze that I didn't know should be attributed to what.  Nice to know after
all these years.  I cleaned them with distilled water and a drop of clear
dishwashing liquid on a Nitty Gritty and they cleaned up great...  They
still never sounded all that great though.
