Seems to be an authentic period piece. My best guess is that this
was used in a Victor dealer retail store, mounted on the wall in a
listening booth, near a demonstration machine as a convenient means
to hold a small number of disc records (vertically) for previewing
them prior to purchasing. Am I stating the obvious, or just being
slow to catch on to what you fellows already know?
