Amen. JB Weld works great About five years ago the pot metal base of the "Motometer" on Molly Hupp's radiator came apart like a cookie when I tried to tighten the nut affixing it to the radiator cap. I basically made a batter of JB Weld and pushed all the fragments together into the batter, building it out just a bit, then turned it in a floor model drill press. I gave the finished restoration a coat of black paint and it's been on the shakey old car (she's 88 this year) for about 7000 miles now. If JB Weld will withstand the forces exerted upon the thermometer window by a high vibration flat head four, I would give most pot metal phonograph repairs a fighting chance with it. My two needles worth, : ) Edward
