Hi Folks,

Just thought I'd post on the off chance that someone might be able to help out.

I have a beautiful and early Victor VI phonograph however I am short a horn for
it, it is too early for the Speartip or Brass Petal horn so I'm wondering if
someone might have an early horn to suit this machine (Spun Brass and
woodgrained OR Black Japanned).

Cheers,
Mario

Mario,

My early Type 6 came with a brass belled, conical steel horn. It was
painted a maroon like color that closely resembled the mahogany color of the
phonograph but was not wood grained. Most of the paint was bad when I got
it but I found the area under the Elbow to be in nice shape and I used that
to duplicate the color. This was in the 1970s. At the time I found a spray
can of automotive paint that was as exact a match as I could get with my
eye. I think it was a Plymouth Fury color.
