I just played my one DD LP, 10003 (Vespri Siciliani, Malaguena, Manon selections, Festival Dance, etc.) on a meticulously-adjusted Technics SP1200MkII with Shure V15VxMR cartridge, modified by Kevin Barrett of KAB (78 rpm upgrade, dampening fluid trough system, both very highly recommended), running through Kevin's very inexpensive and remarkably effective Souvenir DRX Retro add-on, and I have to tell you all, I cannot imagine getting more enjoyment out of a DD LP than that, truly. (Anyone wants transfers of their own DD LP's, I do a lot of restoration work... I'd be glad to transfer them to CD free of charge for the chance to add the recordings to my own digital collection.)
