RE the record cabinet --- I'd say the guy doesn't know the difference between vinyl and shellac. I've noticed this lately, the defining terms are becoming confused over time. Anyway-- there do appear to be some Diamond Discs in it, as well as regular 78s. Has a later '20s look to my eyes. On another note--------- I just wanted the other Phono-Ls to know I have taken a big step toward solving a problem that has plagued phono guys for years---- missing governors from the motors used in Victor "Monarch" style motors -- including M, MS, E, R and some early D and 6. The fiber gears have been available, but if the governor was missing you have been out of luck. I have had some of the governor shafts made. Using my shaft, you can put together a complete governor using sleeves and other parts off easily found types of governors. THIS GOVERNOR SHAFT WILL WORK WITH THE FIBER GEAR TYPE OF MONARCH MOTOR ONLY. If anyone is interested please contact me.
