Hi all in the group, I just wanted to re-introduce myself, as many of you know me, either personally, or from prior dealings. My name is Patriek Zanas, and I was a member of this group before, until I was reassigned from Europe to Asia (after mobing from the US to Belgium), and became too busy and logistically encumbered to continue my hobby. Because of my professional obligations, I now find myself in a situation with 2 storage places in the US, 1 in Europe (Belgium), and my present home is in Thailand, from where I work allover Southeast Asia.
I have been collecting for over 15 years, and have an extensive collection of cylinder (only) phonographs of over 300 machines (some mint, some ok, some need work or parts..) and 30,000 cylinder records. I will need to part with all of it for logistical and storage reasons in the months and years to come. The only part of my collection that I will hang on to are my Pucks and Kastenpucks (due to size and weight easier to move around the globe). So, here's the catch and the good news (I suppose) for you: If you are looking for a specific cylinder phonograph item (machine or record), please contact me privately (I assume no need to bog down this group) at [email protected] and let me know how much you are willing to pay for it. I will look IF and WHERE I have the item, and see if I can provide you with pictures and counteroffer, where necessary or appropriate. The items in Belgium are easiest to get to (return there every 3-4 weeks), where the items in the US I can only get to 2-3 times per year. I am also still looking for (certain) Pucks and parts, so I am also willing to consider certain trades. I am trying and doing what I can to avoid more of my collection going to ebay, so if you will allow me, this is a better way to deal with the people who are looking for specific items right now.
