Hold yer horses there, cowboy. You canot play black wax Edison 4 minute records, which are marked 4M but are made of wax that has become very brittle with time. Those can only be played on an Edison cylinder player with a model H reproducer. The Oxford Indestructible can be played on it, but the surface tends to shrink with time and the grooves skip. I think they are better played with a model H also, but that is one person's opinion. Any indestructible type 4 minute record can be played on your amberola, just not the Edison black wax amberol (or any other 4 minute wax record, if there are any), which usually come in green boxes. I would like to purchase some Oxford/Columbia 4 minute records. Can I play them?
