You had better ignore the serial numbers on the branded case Gem and the
maroon Gem! They cannot be correct. Gem #269465 is a Model B Gem since
branded
case Model A Gems have serial numbers below #37000. The maroon Gem with a
serial of #527435 does not exist. Edison only made roughly 357000 Gems total.
This is yet another good reason to ask eBay sellers for serial numbers.
That also goes for reproducers which every Edison collector should list
reproducer serials right behind machine serials for insurance purposes.
I hope the machines are returned and the culprits apprehended.
