Where is it?

The Columbia AT is a fairly common phonograph. There are three models of
the AT, the first one has the low trunion which puts the reproducer at an
angle to the cylinder. The second has the high trunion which puts the
reproducer on top of the cylinder, and third is also a high trunion machine,
but has a less-fancy case. If the reproducer is simply missing the stylus,
that is a minor repair and would not affect the value too much, as long as
the reproducer is an original one. It is very desirable that the aluminum
horn be an original one, and you can tell if it is very light and fragile.
The reproduction horns are heavy and are relatively inexpensive. I would
say the values of an AT are approximately as follows. All values are for
phonos in good shape, complete with original crank and horn: AT first
style, $600-$700; AT second style, $700-$800, AT third style, $500-600. Of
course, these are rough estimates, as the value depends on the condition and
originality of the machine. Others may wish to give their opinion on value
ranges.

try it out" does that mean the reproducer is gone?

one small part that is loose (broken off or unscrewed, I cannot tell), but
it doesn't look like a needle.

at a ship in Cardiff, Wales, BTW.
