Hi, If anyone is in the San Francisco area, there is a really nice exhibit on the history of sound at the airport. There is everything there from a Berliner phonograph to surround sound. Pictures of the pioneers of the industry. I was not aware it was there until my flight out. I have some pictures if anyone is interested. -Barry From [email protected] Sat Jan 13 18:55:31 2007 From: [email protected] (Steven Medved) Date: Sat Jan 13 18:55:47 2007 Subject: Rebuilding Orthophonic Reproducers - RE: [Phono-L] Orthophonic reproducer rebuilder advice Message-ID: <[email protected]>

There are a few of my machines on display. Unfortunately the exhibit is behind the security line so only those people with tickets on United can see it, but according to airport officials that amounts to 100,000 people a day... The whole link is there, but the text is being truncated (probably after 80 characters) by the Phono-L formatting (right Loran?). Anyway, I relocated the file.
