Since we are on the subject of Ken's great restoration work I thought it
would be a good opportunity to let the list know that three of my coin
operated phonographs are up for sale, including the AS that Ken restored.
He really did do a great job! I am in the process of trying to purchase
some real estate in Wilmington NC and could use the extra money. I hate to
sell them.

All three of these machines have been tuned up and restored as needed by
Ken.

BS - The BS is truly a beautiful machine. I believe it has somewhat of an
interesting transitional case. The early cases had just the beveled line
going across the cabinet with no banner. The later case had just the
banner. This machine has both. It is almost entirely original with
exception of the braided black tube connected to the reproducer and the coin
box. I'm not sure if the glass is original, but it is old either way. The
finish is beautiful and appears shinier then it actually is. Plays
excellent and even has the original wooden signboard.no disappointments.
$4,500

AS - Most of you know the story on the AS. The machine was damaged in
shipping. I took two parts machines plus the professional restoration
services of Ken Danckaert to bring it back to life. It came out beautiful
and is almost entirely original except for the signboard and a few
mechanical parts. It is still missing the glass, but this has to be one of
the nicest AS's out there. $5,500

N - The N is probably the hardest machine to find of the three. I believe
it is the oldest being introduced in 1896. The cabinet is nice but does
have a few imperfections. The banner decal is worn but original. The
Banner has an interesting double image as if one was put on over the other -
unique. The signboard is a reproduction. According to Hazelcorns Columbia
Phonograph Companion vol1, there are an estimated 16-40 N's in existence.
$6,500

If anyone is interested please e-mail me off list at [email protected].
Shipping not included in the above prices. I had planned to put them on EBay
in the next few days. Thanks - John
