Subject: [Phono-L] Edison cylinder - African Dreamland
Message-ID: <[email protected]>

Greetings,Does anyone have a copy of Edison Wax Amberol Special D-13, "African
Dreamland" by the New York Military Band? I can either accept a tape, CD, mp3,
or the cylinder itself. Either way, I would be grateful to anyone who can
supply a copy either for sale, or for listening.-Ryan

This is a little late, I've been a little busy this month. Charles Gregory's
four volume set was originally intended to be a source of labels that
collectors could Xerox and paste on their records. But Charles went way beyond
that
and created a useful discography with recording dates, release dates, cutout
dates, ads and more for the entire 50,000 series of Diamond Discs. I use it
quite
a bit and recomend it for any collector. If the set on E-bay gets away, I'd
contact Charles directly and see if he still has some books.

Someone local has an Amberola 30 for sale. The serial number is
SM93823. The screen is missing, and there's some laminate damage on the
front right corner.

Any thoughts to a value? It's apparently working.

Tks,
Mike
