OK, Steve, don't gloat over the ARSC 12 hours at the Sanfilippo mansion.
We MAPS members may only have 3 hours there, but at least we can do it EVERY
YEAR! :)

Ray: For many of us it was a once in a lifetime experience including two
meals there and a private organ concert.

Adding that to the great talks on phonos and records - the Rolfs - seeing a
new ARCHIVAL cylinder box which may be produced as cheap as $1.50 each! And
getting free advance copies of the new Archeophone CD of "dirty recordings",
made this one heck of a fun 4 days!

Oh yes, some of made a trek to Grafton to see the remains of the Paramount
plant and hoist a toast to the legendary recording artists who recorded there.

Next year is in Palo Alto and I hope those on the West Coast can join us.

SOME DAY I'll get to Union but - for now - this will suffice.

Steve (STILL gloating <vbg>)

Anyone know of any phono collectors or shops in Istanbul? I know it's a
long shot--but thought I'd ask.

Don't know about Istanbul, Art, but I think that the Shah of Iran had some
interesting music boxes.
Good luck.
