I wanted to a ert you folks of a paypal scam email I received yesterday. The
message came from "services at paypal.com" ("at" being @ in the email) saying
that I changed my primary email address to another email address at hotmail.com
and?that?I need to confirm that address.?A link to paypal was at the bottom of
the email. I did not click on the link. Instead?I went directly to paypal
myself and my email address was not changed.? If you recieve these emails do no
click on the link in the email. IF you do you may find your checking or savings
account depleted and find unknown charges on your credit cards. Please be aware.

I am wondering what the earlest surviving serial number known for the edison
square Top Standard is , can anyone share a known number less than 500? I read
someplace that over half of the very early two clips were destroyed or
returned.
Of course there is always a reason for questions such as this, in my case, I
am taking to Union an early one without a gear cover or the holes for one and
it comes with an early Standard Speaker, not the automatic.
While I have your attention , I will also be taking an original reproducer
for a regina hexiphone, and an edison H reproducer that I believe has been
modified to work on the regina hex. if any one has a need please contact me.
thanks brice

Several years ago I bought #283 from Charley Hummel. Significantly, it did
have a gear cover. As with early Homes, these were assembled out of sequential
order and there's no clear cut-off point for certain features. I subsequently
sold that one but still have 803, admitted higher than your 500 level but
still very early. It has a gear cover as well, and is in near-mint original
condition.

Number 4 is illustrated in Frow's book, the owner is not mentioned.

Best regards,
Rene Rondeau
