I'm in the process of restoring a Columbia Improved Champion (BN) later
style phonograph . This machine is illustrated on page 90 of Robert
Bombach's Columbia Phonograph Companion Volume II. I need the back mount,
tone arm and reproducer, horn elbow and crank. The Holes in th ecase for th
eback mount are 2 1/4" on centers. The threaded end of the horn is 1 3/4"
in diameter. From the pictures in the book, I can't tell if the back mount
is nickel plated or painted. I suspect it is a mount and elbow similar to
that used on Standard phonographs produced around that time, but I'm not
completely sure. if anyone can confirm the exact back mount used I would
appreciate it. The crank required has a 1/4 20 mfemale thread and th eofset
for th ecrank should be about 3 1/4" If anyone has any of these parts or
knows of a source I would appreciate hearing from them.
