I thought these were either phonograph only or phonograph/music box combos. Don't think I have ever seen just a music box one.
Referred to as the Lion's head Columbia. I think the last phonograph only one Bob Johnson bought on Ebay went for around $8-8.5k. -------------- Original message -------------- From: "Albert" <[email protected]> > I have been looking at these for years. The phono only ones I have seen from $4000 to $5500 in reasonable shape. There is not a version of the music box that is music box only, it is just missing the phono arm and turntable sometimes, the mechanism in those is always a musicbox and phonograph. -Barry On Thu, 6 Sep 2007 11:05:38 -0700, "Albert" <[email protected]> wrote: > I have been looking at these for years. The was phonograph only and went for about $2800. The case was very nice, needed a minimum of restoration, and the phonograph was not working. It came from Craig, Colorado, and I guess I should have bought it. I could have driven over from Denver---but I didn't! Oh well, it was just another floor model that I didn't want to fill the house with! I even showed it to the OWAPS group and they passed on it!
