Union is quite a few months away but I wanted everyone
to know that I am driving and will be happy to haul
things for gas money. Please place this offer in your
memory bank and let me know if I can help you. I
drive from Oregon to Union and back. My route is
flexible. Thanks & Happy Collecting, Jerry Blais

Message-ID: <004901c80556$6150c9f0$6501a...@danslaptop>

Hi all,

A friend of mine has lissted a decent maroon gem two part horn appropriate for
an Edison Fireside or Gem model D phonograph on ebay. If you have ever looked
for one of these you know how hard they can be to find.

The horn is listed on ebay # 280158265334. There is no reserve and a low
starting bid.

If anyone is looking for a fireside horn here is your chance.

Subject: [Phono-L] The Edison Paoers Project - Not Done Yet!
Message-ID: <[email protected]>

Almost 20 years ago The Johns Hopkins University Press started publishing
The Complete Papers of Tomas A. Edison. 1989 brought the first of what was to
be a 20 volume series with one volume published every 2 years. Well, after
Volumes 1 and 2 things slowed down a lot! Volume 5 was published in 2004. But
today I received my advance copy of Volume 6! This one is Entitled
"Electrifying New York and Abroad" and covers April 1881-March 1883. It is 891
pages
long! So the project goes on - though it will probably not be finished in my
lifetime at this rate.

The publication date is October 15, 2007.

Message-ID: <004401c805fd$bea30a80$6401a...@tonyandjose>

Hi Folks,

I picked up one of these machines on the weekend. Now don't get too excited it
isn't one of those pretty Flower painted machines. The model B home with extra
decoration had both a gold and blue line as well as a different corner decal.
Machine is in need of a restoration. I was going to list on eBay but thought
I'd offer here. If you'd like to see pics please email me. Before you ask yes
it is a B deck and does have an end gate.

Email me and I'll send pics.... [email protected]

Cheers,
Mario

Greetings Mr. Ramm:

Is there a volume dedicated to phonographs? And, if so, how does one purchase
a copy?

Thanks,

Al

Greetings! If anyone out there is interested in a Gothic Period Victrola, I
have one that is complete, original, and in very nice shape. It's an
electric, and the cord is in pieces, so I've never even plugged it in. You
can email me directly at [email protected]. Serious inquiries only,
please. Thanks!

I have used Kotton Klenser with no ill effects. I have even used 0000 steel
wool with it, but very carefully indeed.
