It is not unknown for dealers to customize cabinets.  I suspect that the 
interior gray is a "homer", but the exterior may have been done by a dealer 
on custom order for a customer.  I have an Orthophonic Credenza in a red 
lacquer cabinet that was dealer customized.  The Victor decal has been 
covered by the paint, but there is another gold decal on the back inside 
wall of the cabinet that says "Louisville Phonograph and Radio Co."  John M.
