The eBay number is: _http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=320174678364&ssPageNa me=STRK:MEWA:IT&ih=011_ (http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=320174678364&ssPageName=STRK:MEWA:IT&ih=011) Sorry, I had to figure out how to get this copied to my post. I have seen errors on patent plates for Edison and have a few examples on machines in my collection; but, I have never seen a plate serial that was off by a half-a-million! I may take the large view and disassemble the photo to see if Photoshop was used to obscure the serial which has been done on some eBay listings for reasons unknown. As for Home Phonographs, the highest serial I have seen was up around 407000 and it was a Model F. At least Edison has yet to have a crappophone copy come out of China! Regards to all on the list, Al Edison Collector

His wife had made him sleep outside since he had stayed out so late drinking with his friends. He meant to pick up a 3 but instead got a 9. He stamped it, put the 9 down and picked up the 9 again and completed the serial number. He double checked it and because of his headache and stomachache it looked fine to him. The person who was supposed to double check the serial number, John, had been out with Fred and the only reason he made it to work was the horse knew the way.SteveMost creative theory inventor > Greetings Learned Collectors:> > There is an Edison Model E Home on eBay that has an impossible serial number, > 994618.
