I recently picked up a very nice Columbia BE without a lid and thought I would
ask if anyone had a nice spare they are willing to part with.? If so, please
contact email me off list.

Thanks,
Dave Boruff

Subject: [Phono-L] Model B without arm holes drilled...
Message-ID: <[email protected]>

Thanks Steve, I would have bought it but with my poor eyesight and the photo
being lit from an angle, I did not see the lettering gap where the arm would
have been. Then I checked my emails after the auction closed and found your
message. Opps...

I can also blame it on the fact that my wife and I were up in Carson City,
Nevada. At one time I could find machines there that were coming out of homes
and estates. Now there is nothing in the antique shops but newly made antiques
from China and India. Naturally there was a crapophone in one shop that was
not labeled a modern knock off. One of my other interests is steam powered
machinery so we visited their train museum and a restaurant decorated with
antique steam engines. We both had a good time.

Best Wishes to You,

Al

Sorry listers, more bad eyesight had me send the message to the list rather
than privately to Steve.

BTW - the crapophone in the "antique shop" is still there if anyone wants it
and for only $850 ! ! !

Regards to All on the list,

Al

Subject: [Phono-L] Pooley Ejector Record Cabinet
Message-ID: <[email protected]>

Hi -

Well, in response to a recent query I dug out a record cabinet I'd
squirreled away a while ago. The guy passed on it, but it's pretty
special and doesn't do me any good in storage, so I figure I'll ebay it.
But, as is our custom, I'm offering it to our little club first.

It's a Pooley cabinet, with the special indexing and ejection system.
It's mahogany and needs restoration/refinishing, but it's solid and well
worth the effort. Pooley was one of the top cabinet makers.

Here's some pictures:

They pretty much tell the story. Click a few buttons to get the full size
shots displayed or downloaded. Price? You tell me...

Thanks,

Peter
