There were quite a few Credenza knock offs after 1926.  The  
manufacturers must have felt that the public was not sophisticated  
enough to realize that the styling of the cabinet was not the reason  
the Credenza sounded so good.

Of course these manufacturers could not utilize any of the patented  
features of the Orthophonic, which is why this particular machine has  
such a kludgy looking horn.

The various knock offs that I have seen all have large horns that  
generally take up as much room as the real Credenza horn, but they are  
not exponential.
