You did well getting the nice BC with original large horn at that price. I have seen them offered for much more with good sounding reproducer and original horn, but $1400 would be reasonable for one without the horn but with a working reproducer. A cut-down 14" aluminum horn is definitely wrong. As previously stated on this forum, Paul Baker is probably the only person that knows how to rebuild the reproducer properly.
