I just got back from the MME show in Wayne, NJ. As usual, the biggest business was taking place at the record tables. A recent acquaintance has got me interested in old, original blues recordings, specifically records cut by Mississippi John Hurt, Skip James, Blind Blake, and Son House.
I found none of these at the show. I was told that these records are scooped up by well-heeled record collectors before they ever hit the shows or even eBay. Can anyone direct me to possible sources for these recordings?
