Hi,

I would appreciate your posting the following note.

Mike Tucker

A friend and I are in the process of restoring two of the upright coin slots
which use the Class M electric motor.

They are the same as the one described as "Unidentified Class M of about 1905"
at page 246 of the latest edition of Frow's cylinder machine book.

They have the wooden feet instead of the more familiar ball and claw ones and a
somewhat similar cabinet to the Majestic.

I would particularly appreciate any information anyone has as to the correct
backboard for these machines (If they had one - our cabinets are in transit, so
I can't verify this at the moment), but any information on this or the
phonograph generally would be appreciated.

I can be contacted via Email at [email protected]

Thanks, Mike Tucker

Hi All,

I'm after a couple of dimensions of a later (second motor) style Victor VI
horn machine.

Could someone please tell me:

1. Base dimensions - as in the actual "footprint"
2. Height (bottom of case to the top of motorboard)

I really need to get accurate dimensions.

Thanks in advance for your help!

Cheers,
Mario

Subject: [Phono-L] Help with Opera/1B Mandrel Finish
Message-ID: <[email protected]>

Greetings,

Does anyone here have experience recreating the brownish-black finish found
on the Edison Opera and Amberola 1B mandrel?

It appears to be a chemical finish on the brass surface as opposed to a
plated finish.

I'd be most grateful to talk to someone who has first-hand experience or
can refer me to the right person.

Best Regards,
Mark
