What a monstrosity. Though it is with some shame that I admit I like the plaque
on the front.

I have to admit, I found this very entertaining. Made me feel a bit
sorry for the seller actually, especially the bit about the stone and
the cat.

This was also the first time I've seen a molded plastic platter on one
of these. In the '60s and early '70s, cheap generic phono motor
assemblies (and tone arms) were sold for replacement and fabrication
purposes, so it appear to go with the electric motor. This one is
right up there with the transparent cabinet Crapophone that appeared
during the past year. It's almost painful to even look at the images.

Subject: [Phono-L] 14" Horn for sale
Message-ID: <[email protected]>

Hi all
Since we're in a selling mood, I have an original 14" witch's hat horn for
sale, has been repainted I think, there?seems to be one thin paint run. You can
still make out the Patent mark.?The brass bell is in very decent shape, the
only drawback being one very small 1/16" hole at the top edge where someone
probably hung it from a makeshift crane. There is, however, enough brass
material around this hole that a brass instrument repair person could close the
hole.? I am asking $90 plus shipping. I have another horn too, all complete,
very tarnished bell, bell has a few dings, $120 for that one.
Pics are available if you want to email me offline.
I also have a brass key for an early Edison A-250 or a Brunswick phonograph,
this is the oval headed key with to opposing curved figures in it. Pics alw
available, $55.00.
Thanks
John Robles

That's the first time I'm aware of someone stealing pictures from my site to
use in a fraudulent auction. Fortunately eBay has pulled it.

Best regards,

It's real one all right, but it belongs to Rene Rondeau. Ebay has been
notified. This was discussed on another list. Save your money!

Does the Idelia on Ebay seem to anyone else like it might not be legitimate?
It just doesn't look right with Free shipping, Zero feedback, and no
response to a question.

Hi John ~

Can you email me a photo of the early A-250 key? I might be
interested in it.

Thanks,
Andy
