I am so very glad to hear that Ken is still with us. He has one of the
nicest set ups at the Wayne show with some great consoles in wonderful
condition among other things that he brings along. The show was a bit
subdued since it started with someone ran thru during set up yelling for
paramedics. Fortunately the ambulance core is not far from the PAL and they
arrived quickly. Sales were ok buying was ok. Most of us were just shaken
up, feeling mortal and thinking about how the morning started off.

Ken Woodbury, of Keene, New Hampshire, might ?be the nation?s largest
travelling antique phonograph dealer, if not the ?nation?s largest antique
phonograph dealer.
For over 22 years, a giant ?Nipper dog affixed like a flag to the top of
Woodbury?s tent has beckoned to ?customers in general line antique shows from
more than 12 states on the ?eastern seaboard.

l as more than 3000 cylinder records.
Woodbury ?attributes his interest in talking machines to a longstanding

His business, ?Nipper?s Choice,? was begun as a ?part-time venture in

Hello again, everyone.
Here is the news I received today from Fred about Kenny's progress. I
think it sounds promising, considering how precarious the situation was on
Sunday night.
Glen G. in VT

Hi Glen

Thank you for your calls and your thoughts. I'm sorry to take this much
time to respond.
Kenny is maintaining as well as he can and they are keeping him under a
sedation induced coma. He is unable to speak because of the breathing tubes
and all. They bring him out of the coma about every 6-8 hours to make sure
he responds to commands. It is expected that he will undergo open heart
surgery for a triple bypass on Monday.

I was down there until last night and I had to be back for some rather
necessary chores. I will be going back for the surgery and stay as long as
need be. They woke him just before I left, and he saw me. They say he smiled,
and he squeezed my hand real hard about 5 times.

The staff there is awesome. He is very lucky to have such nice people
around him. They all love him and tell him so constantly. The Doctors are
terrific.

He has a friend and customer, Dave Nochimson, who you may know, and he is
in contact with the Doctors there and knows many of them. He went to visit
him yesterday and called me to say that it looks real good for Kenny. He
will be back there next week. I hope Kenny knows how many people love him and
really care. Everyone has been extremely nice to me as well.

Thank you again and I will be in touch. Please feel free to pass on any or
all information to his friends that you are in contact with.

Fred
