Its a very early motor.  It could be a 133 cycle AC motor.

Those are universal motors.  They will run on AC or DC and they are low 
voltage motors.  That is why there is a resistor in series with the motor.

Ken is now in his own room & doing very well?at St. Josephs Hospital, Paterson 
the phone # there is 973-754-2000 for anyone who would like to talk to Ken, 
just ask the operator for his room. He may even be on his way home this 
weekend, I understand he's his old self laughing & joking & would probably like 
to hear from some of his friends on the List to cheer him on !
