If you have copies of the electric versions of the Bubble Books (published by Columbia and Dodd, Mead), I'd appreciate your checking your copies to help me with some research I'm doing. Just to be sure you know which version of the Bubble Books I mean, these are the versions that have only two 5 1/2" records in the book, the first of which has music on both sides and the second only has music on one side. The labels on these records are black, with gold lettering. Now here's the request... These records have sets of markings in the runoff (the shiny area between the label and the grooves). One is a number that starts with a "W", like "W1795". And if you look directly above that number to the other side of the record, you'll see a "number hyphen number" combination, like "2-2." It's that last "number hyphen number" combination I'm trying to research. Here's what I know already: Bed in Summer: W1784 -- 4-3 My Bed is a Boat: W1794 -- 4-4<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /> The Swing: W1795 -- 2-2 The North Wind Doth Blow: W1790 -- 2-4 Lullaby: W1792 -- 3-1 The Sandman: W1793 -- 5-5 Cock Robin and Jenny Wren: W1788 -- 2-1 Who Killed Cock Robin?: W1789 -- 3-2 The Death of Jenny Wren: W1791 -- 3-1 The Little Old Woman: W1785 -- 2-1 on some copies and 2-2 on others The Old Man Who Lived in a Wood: W1786 -- 1-2 The Dairyman: W1787 -- 1-1 on some copies and 1-4 on others I'm trying to discover whether there are any combinations that are different than the ones I've found already. I'd therefore really would appreciate your checking your copies, and then letting me know what you've discovered, OFF LIST please! I'd be interested in hearing from you either way -- whether you have the ones I know about or that you have something different and what that different combination is. Thanks a lot for your help!
