I DEFINITELY do not consider Ediphones off topic. For proof, please
note the title of the book in the following sentence from George
Paul's recent comment about a red Ediphone"
"We pictured one of these maroon Ediphones in Discovering Antique
Phonographs"

It seems that so much discussion of ediphones is a bit off topic on
this list. Ediphones are office machines, not phonographs, which is
what this list is about. Perhaps there is a list for office
machines which would be a more appropriate forum. Maybe not.

Here is the only online info I have found for these. I have never
seen a red one, I would enjoy photos if someone has one.

When I was a kid I had a girlfriend who's father had two Ediphones
in his
garage. They were both factory painted a red, not unlike the maroon
Gem, and stood on red rolling stands. To this day I have yet to see
another. Anyone know of what model I speak?
