Ed, I have 3 Edison Voicewriter disc machines.  Two are Model ME-C.  The other 
one is an Edison Escort.  None are Model 87000, and none have any manuals or 
instructions.  I think at least one of them might still work.

Also, there are services who can play your Voicewriter discs for you, and 
transfer them to CD, such as this one:
